Homemade croutons are so easy to make and taste better than anything you can buy at the store. Try them! They're life-changing. (grin). OK. Maybe they're not LIFE changing... but they are delicious!

Here's what you need:

8 slices of day-old bread, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt

Preheat your oven to 350°.

Add the olive oil, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, parsley, and salt in a large bowl and stir until well combined. Add the bread cubes to the bowl and toss to coat evenly.

Spread the croutons in a single layer on a baking sheet—Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the croutons are golden and crispy. Check on them often, so they don't burn!

Store the unused portion in an airtight container and enjoy within 3 to 5 days.
