A Taco Burger gives you the best of both worlds! It has all the flavor of a taco, but it's deliciously served on a bun!
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 lb. plant-based crumble, fresh or frozen
1/4 cup onion, diced
1/2 cup sweet red and green bell pepper, combined, seeded, and diced
2 tablespoons Taco Seasoning
1/4 cup water
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the olive oil, plant-based crumble, onion, and bell pepper to the skillet. Saute, often stirring until the vegetables are tender and the crumble is cooked through.
Add the taco seasoning and water and stir until well combined. Lower the heat to medium-low and cook for an additional 3 to 5 minutes, occasionally stirring until the water is fully absorbed.
Spoon 1/3 to 1/2 cup of the mixture on a toasted hamburger bun. You can enjoy this as is or add some of your favorite toppings. Some of our favorites include shredded lettuce, tomato, freshly chopped onion, and vegan cheddar. To make your taco burger a little spicier, make up a batch of our Spicy 1000 Island Dressing and spread a little on the bun as you build your taco burger.
