There is nothing like roasted garlic to bring out the best in a dish; it is culinary magic at its best, and it is super simple to make.

Preheat oven to 350°

1 whole bulb of garlic
1 teaspoon olive oil
pinch of salt
freshly ground pepper

Peel away the loose outer layer of skin from the bulb of garlic, leaving the skin of the individual cloves intact. Using a sharp or serrated knife, slice 1/4-inch to 1/2-inch off the garlic head, exposing the individual cloves. Drizzle with a teaspoon of olive oil and sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Wrap the bulb in tin foil, or use a Progressive International Terra Cotta Garlic Roaster.

Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until the garlic is tender inside the bulb.

Once cooled, hold garlic cut side down and squeeze to release the cloves.

You now have perfectly roasted garlic!

You can add roasted garlic to sauces, soups, and stews for the perfect roasted garlic flavor. Of course, a true garlic lover might be tempted to eat the cloves straight out of the bulb! But, however you like your garlic, we guarantee you're going to love it roasted!
