3/4 cup non-dairy milk
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
2 cups unbleached white flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup vegan semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup slivered almonds
Preheat oven to 350° Spray a 9" x 13" baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
In a medium bowl, mix the milk and vinegar and set aside.
Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
To the milk mixture, whisk in the sugar, oil, and vanilla. Next, add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and whisk until well combined and smooth. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips and almonds.
Pour into a prepared baking dish and bake for 28 to 32 minutes.
